N.C. A&T's Johnson to enter NFL Draft
(STATS) - North Carolina A&T defensive end Darryl Johnson Jr., the MEAC defensive player of the year, has announced he will forgo his final year of eligibility and declare for the 2019 NFL Draft.
The 6-foot-5, 232-pound Johnson announced the decision on his Instagram page on Saturday.
As a redshirt junior, he was named a first-team selection on the STATS FCS All-America Team. He led the MEAC with 19 tackles for loss and 10½ sacks as N.C. A&T went 10-2 and won MEAC and Air Force Reserve Celebration Bowl titles.
The draft will be held April 25-27 in Nashville, Tennessee.
